Dexory secures $80M Series B to transform warehouse operations 📦
Dexory has raised $80 million in October in a Series B funding round, bringing its total funding to $120 million over three years. This rapid growth follows the launch of its autonomous warehouse robots and software platform, DexoryView.
DexoryView provides real-time, 360-degree visibility across warehouses using autonomous robots and advanced AI. By generating detailed data through continuous scanning and sensor analysis, the platform helps optimize operations, improve inventory accuracy, and enable digital twins for scenario planning. For instance, customers lik ID Logistics reduced manual investigations by 41% in two months.
The funding round was led by DTCP, joined by Latitude Ventures, Wave-X, Bootstrap Europe, and existing investors like Atomico and Lakestar. The investment will fuel Dexory’s expansion into the U.S., where it already operates in seven states, and enhance its AI-powered features and robotics deployments.
With major clients like GXO, Maersk, and GE Appliances, Dexory is shaping the future of warehouse logistics by seamlessly integrating automation and actionable insights into supply chain operations.
Simulation helps robots weld faster! 👨🏼🏭
Italian metalwork leader OMAS has achieved remarkable success with ABB’s RobotStudio®, boosting productivity by 50% and revolutionizing its precision welding processes.
RobotStudio, ABB’s powerful offline programming and simulation tool, allows OMAS to program its welding robots virtually, replicating real-life robot movements with 99% accuracy. This capability enhances precision and enables simultaneous production and programming, cutting downtime and accelerating project timelines.
Key features like the ArcWelding PowerPac ensure high-quality welds by preemptively identifying issues and optimizing gun angles, reducing costly errors. OMAS’s ability to adapt and innovate with tools like RobotStudio solidifies its reputation as a leader in precision metalwork.
Together, OMAS and ABB are paving the way for the future of automation, combining advanced technology with decades of expertise.

A bird-inspired robot 🦆
Researchers at EPFL in Switzerland have developed RAVEN, a drone inspired by birds that use legs to walk, hop, and jump into the air. Mimicking crows, RAVEN’s legs allow it to conserve energy, navigate obstacles, and perform efficient takeoffs without runways or catapults.
With a wingspan of 1 meter and weighing 620 grams, RAVEN can walk, hop gaps of 12 cm, and jump up to 26 cm. Its tendon-like springs and flexible toes make it agile on the ground and capable of stable flight launches. Tests showed that jumping takeoffs are 10 times more energy-efficient than stationary launches, enabling smoother transitions to flight.
Plans for RAVEN include using its legs for landing, perching, and even carrying payloads. Researchers are also exploring flapping wings for more bird-like movements. Could this innovation bring us closer to delivery drones that take off and land like their avian counterparts?
A new toolkit for embodied intelligence 🦿
Hello Robot has introduced Stretch AI, an open-source toolkit designed to push the boundaries of embodied AI on its Stretch 3 mobile manipulator. Launched in February 2024, the Stretch 3 platform has already gained popularity in university labs as a versatile tool for AI research and real-world applications.
Stretch AI equips developers with tools for precise manipulation, advanced mapping, navigation, and integration with large language models (LLMs). This enables robots to execute natural verbal commands like “Pick up the toy and place it in the bin,” making tasks in home environments intuitive and seamless.
Already used in 20 countries, the Stretch 3 robot, priced at $24,950, is shaping a future where robots seamlessly integrate into everyday life.
Could this be the next leap in home robotics?

Drone log analysis using MATLAB! 🛸
In this course, participants will learn the intricacies of flying drones, both manually and autonomously, understanding the critical components such as chassis, motors, and sensors, and identifying potential reasons for crashes. The focus is on tuning drone performance through simulation and post-flight analysis.
Upon completion, learners will be able to:
Utilize the Flight Log Analyzer app to analyze UAV autopilot flight logs.
Import custom flight logs and signal data for detailed analysis.
Identify anomalies in-flight data to troubleshoot and improve drone performance.
AMP Robotics secures $91M to advance recycling! ♻️
AMP Robotics has raised $91 million in Series D funding to accelerate the deployment of its AI-driven systems for sorting municipal solid waste (MSW). The company aims to modernize recycling by improving material recovery, lowering costs, and extending landfill life, ultimately addressing stagnating recycling rates in the U.S.
Founded in 2014, AMP Robotics uses deep learning AI to identify and sort recyclables with remarkable precision. Its platform has processed over 2.5 million tons of recyclables and identified 150 billion items, transforming the economics of resource recovery.
Recent successes include AMP’s partnership with Recycling and Disposal Solutions in Virginia, where AMP ONE demonstrated 90% uptime while processing 150 tons of waste daily. Additionally, AMP is equipping and operating a Waste Connections recycling facility in Colorado.
